It's been decided! My next contest will be...:


Miss DeviantART 2009!!!!

Well, let's talk a little about the Miss DeviantART 2008 contest:

The first edition of this contest was a success! Over 100 contestants, over 200 entries, several prizes and even mini-contests that followed it: Miss Congeniality and some other minor competitions that were included (all using the same entries).

The first place was gotten by ~Carishrine, and the prize was a coloured full-body illustration with a background of the winning character, Ly.


The winner for Miss Congeniality was =DARK-KANETAKER, and the prize was a half-body coloured illustration (with BG) of his character Seyka.


However, this time, in order to appeal to a larger audience, some of the rules were altered - for instance, it won't be just female OCs allowed. Now there will be a Miss and Mister DA contests! The contestant can use either male or female OCs to participate! However, there will be only a single prize for both contests (there is not a separate prize for each of the categories - Miss and Mister DA are part of a single contest).
Now enough talk and on to the stuff that matters! \o/

JUDGES



RULES

- Only original characters. No existing characters or fan-characters (characters created within an existing series) are allowed.
- It is MANDATORY that you link this journal at both submissions!
- It is MANDATORY that you create TWO images for this contest (just like last year, but this time is different). One will be a full-body with the character standing up-front. It can have either a unique pose (eg. an action pose) or a normal, general pose. The second illustration should define and show WELL the personality traits of the character.
EXAMPLES:
- The "personality trait" illustration MUST have a BG, even a simple one. That helps characterizing him even better.
- Both must be coloured, but you can use flat colours if you want.
- Collabs are NOT allowed.
- There is no limit for entries per character.
- Photography, flash animations and photomanipulations are NOT ALLOWED. Only drawings/paintings (traditional or digital media) and 3D renderings.
- Pornographic, gory or offensive images are not allowed. All entries must comply with DA's rules and policies.
- There must be detailed information on the character on the Artist's Comments.
- Send your entries to me via NOTE. DO NOT POST THE LINK ON MY JOURNAL, I'LL ONLY ACCEPT ENTRIES SENT VIA NOTE!
- I, the organizer of this contest, will not be responsible for prizes of the donators if they don't deliver it. I'll take care only of my prize, which will be a coloured illustration for the first place winner.
